A recent Gallup poll stirred up some very interesting conversations after their findings showed…

  • 86% of business and HR leaders believe they do not have an adequate leadership pipeline (38% see this as an immediate urgency)
  • 75% are struggling to attract and recruit the top industry talent (24% feel this is an urgent need)
  • 80% find that they have a significant retention issue

According to Dan Schawbel, a Forbes contributor, “ If you ask any HR executive what the biggest challenges are, the skills gap is unanimously noted; After continuously monitoring the market I see the gap widening, not closing”.

Staffing in technology is getting harder and harder due to the continued growth and development of new products and solutions, so unfortunately even when the job market shows several Americans clambering for positions, in technology it’s a fight to the death to find the perfect fit.
